Frequently Asked Questions
What areas do you serve locally?
We serve Strathmore, Langdon, Chestermere, Calgary, Okotoks, and nearby areas from our base in Wheatland County, Alberta. We also take longer-distance towing, vehicle transport, and hauling jobs across Alberta when available. If you are outside the main local area, call us and we will let you know what we can do.
Do you offer safe flatbed towing?
Yes. We provide flatbed towing for cars, SUVs, pickups, vans, motorcycles, and many light-duty and medium-duty vehicles. A flatbed tow truck is often a good choice when a vehicle needs careful transport, has accident damage, or should not be pulled with its wheels on the road. We will recommend the best towing option after we understand your vehicle and situation.
Can you unlock my car or truck?
Yes. We provide car unlock and truck unlock services using proper unlock tools, including quality airbags and lockout kits. We help with locked keys in vehicles, roadside lockouts, and truck lockouts when you need access to your vehicle. Heavy-duty vehicle unlocks may also be available, even though heavy-duty towing is not advertised as a core service.
Do you boost dead vehicle batteries?
Yes. We provide battery boosting and jump start service for cars, trucks, pickups, vans, and many other vehicles. We use professional-grade battery boosters from quality brands to help get your vehicle started safely. If the battery does not respond or there is another issue, we can discuss towing the vehicle to your home, mechanic, or another safe location.
Do you recover stuck vehicles?
Yes. We provide winch-out and vehicle recovery for cars, pickups, trucks, and medium-duty vehicles stuck in snow, mud, ditches, soft ground, or slippery uphill areas. We also recover job-site equipment such as skid steers, bobcats, forklifts, and scissor lifts when the job is within our equipment scope. We use careful recovery techniques to reduce the risk of further damage as much as possible.
Do you tow after vehicle accidents?
Yes. We provide accident towing and accident recovery for damaged vehicles, including cars, vans, pickups, and medium-duty vehicles. We can tow your vehicle from the accident scene to your home, repair shop, body shop, storage location, or another approved destination. If insurance is involved, we can explain the payment and receipt process during the call.
Can you remove my scrap vehicle?
Yes. We provide scrap car removal and scrap truck removal, including free removal of many scrap vehicles to the scrap yard. Proof of ownership is required, and keys are not always mandatory. If the vehicle is still in decent shape, we may be able to pay cash depending on the condition, location, and current scrap value.
Do you provide towing in Calgary?
Yes. We provide towing in Calgary and surrounding areas, including light-duty and medium-duty towing, flatbed towing, wrecker towing with dollies, roadside assistance, accident towing, and vehicle recovery. We also help with NE Calgary towing, NW Calgary towing, SE Calgary towing, and SW Calgary towing when available. Call with your exact location or a dropped pin so we can give you an accurate ETA.
Do you provide towing in Strathmore?
Yes. We serve Strathmore with towing, roadside assistance, recovery, and hauling services. Whether your vehicle is broken down, stuck, locked, out of fuel, damaged after an accident, or needs scheduled transport, we can help when available. Strathmore is one of our main service areas, and we aim to provide fast response with clear pricing and honest communication.
Do you provide towing in Langdon?
Yes. We provide towing and roadside assistance in Langdon and nearby areas. We can help with local tows, longer-distance towing, battery boosts, vehicle unlocks, fuel delivery, tire changes, winch-outs, and accident-related towing. When you call, we will ask for your exact location, vehicle details, and destination so we can send the right help.
Do you provide towing in Chestermere?
Yes. We serve Chestermere with towing, flatbed towing, roadside assistance, vehicle recovery, and accident towing. We help regular drivers, families, shops, and businesses move vehicles safely and efficiently. If you are near Chestermere and need help, call us with your location and we will provide an honest ETA.
Do you provide towing in Okotoks?
Yes. We provide towing and vehicle transport service in Okotoks when available. We can help with breakdowns, scheduled towing, roadside assistance, accident towing, and longer-distance transport. Since Okotoks is farther from our base than some local calls, we will give you a clear ETA and quote before sending a truck.
Do you offer long-distance towing in Alberta?
Yes. We provide long-distance towing and Alberta vehicle transport for cars, pickups, vans, motorcycles, light-duty vehicles, medium-duty vehicles, and some equipment or loads. We may travel to areas such as Red Deer, Edmonton, Banff, Canmore, Medicine Hat, Brooks, High River, and Lethbridge when the job fits our schedule and equipment. Call us with the pickup location, drop-off location, and vehicle details for a proper quote.
Do you offer out-of-province vehicle transport?
Yes. We can help arrange out-of-province vehicle transport for customers who need a vehicle moved beyond Alberta. Because each move is different, we prefer to explain the process by phone after learning the vehicle type, pickup location, delivery location, timing, and condition of the vehicle. We will be clear about what is possible and how the transport can be handled.
Do you provide emergency towing?
Yes. We provide emergency towing for breakdowns, accidents, stuck vehicles, flat tires, lockouts, dead batteries, and other urgent roadside situations. We are available 5am–9pm daily, with after-hours help by availability. If we cannot safely or properly handle a specific emergency, we will try to guide you toward a safer option rather than leave you without direction.
Can you tow a vehicle out of an impound lot?
Yes. We can tow vehicles out of impound lots, including situations where the vehicle cannot be driven because of missing paperwork, missing insurance, accident damage, mechanical problems, or other issues. We do not own or operate an impound lot, and we do not impound vehicles. Our service is to tow your vehicle out of the impound lot to your home, mechanic, body shop, or another approved location.
Do you tow vehicles from the City of Calgary impound lot?
Yes. We can assist with tow-outs from the City of Calgary impound lot when the vehicle is released and ready to be moved. Customers often need this service when the vehicle cannot legally or safely be driven out. Call us before arranging the tow so we can confirm the vehicle condition, paperwork status, destination, and timing.
Do you offer wrecker towing with dollies?
Yes. We offer wrecker towing with wheel-lift and dollies when a flatbed is not the best option. This can be useful when a vehicle will not shift into neutral, has broken front tires, has suspension damage, or cannot be loaded normally without risk. Our goal is to choose the towing method that helps move the vehicle without dragging it or causing avoidable damage.
When should you choose flatbed towing?
Flatbed towing is often a good choice for vehicles that need careful transport, accident-damaged vehicles, motorcycles, long-distance towing, and vehicles that should not have their wheels on the road. It is also useful for many pickups, SUVs, vans, and specialty vehicles. When you call, we will ask about the vehicle’s condition and recommend whether flatbed towing or another method is better.
Can you tow a vehicle that will not shift into neutral?
Yes, we may be able to help. If a vehicle does not shift into neutral, a standard flatbed load may not be the right option in every case. Depending on the vehicle, access, damage, and location, we may use a wrecker tow truck with wheel-lift and dollies to move it properly. Call us with the vehicle details so we can choose the safest method.
Can you tow cars with broken wheels or suspension damage?
Yes, we can often tow vehicles with broken wheels, front-end damage, or suspension damage, but the right method depends on the condition of the vehicle. We will ask about the damage before dispatching so we can decide whether a flatbed, wrecker, wheel-lift, or dollies are needed. Careful planning helps reduce the risk of further damage during loading and transport.
Can you tow motorcycles?
Yes. We can tow motorcycles when the job fits our equipment and safety requirements. Motorcycle towing requires careful loading, securing, and transport, so we ask for details about the bike, location, condition, and destination before confirming the job. If your motorcycle has broken down or needs transport, call us and we will explain the best option.
Can you tow pickup trucks and vans?
Yes. We tow pickup trucks, vans, cargo vans, cube vans, box trucks, and other light-duty or medium-duty vehicles when they are within our equipment scope. We can help with breakdowns, accident towing, scheduled transport, impound lot tow-outs, and recovery situations. Call with the vehicle type and condition so we can confirm the right towing setup.
Do you tow small motorhomes or RV trailers?
Yes, we may be able to tow or transport small motorhomes and RV trailers when the size, weight, location, and destination fit our equipment. These jobs need proper details before we confirm service. We will ask about the unit, access, condition, and route so we can tell you clearly whether we can handle it.
Can you tow box trucks or cube vans?
Yes. We can tow many box trucks, cube vans, cargo vans, and medium-duty vehicles when they are within our current towing capacity and equipment setup. We do not advertise as a heavy-duty towing specialist, so we will be honest if a vehicle requires equipment beyond our scope. If the job fits, we can help with towing, recovery, or transport.
Do you offer heavy-duty towing?
We do not currently advertise heavy-duty towing as a core service because our present setup is focused on light-duty and medium-duty towing and recovery. We do have experience in heavy-duty towing, but we do not want to mislead customers or accept jobs that need equipment we do not currently operate as a main service. We may still help with heavy-duty jump starts or heavy-duty unlocks in some situations.
Can you jump start heavy-duty vehicles?
Yes, we may be able to provide jump starts for heavy-duty vehicles depending on the vehicle, battery setup, access, and location. While we do not position ourselves as a heavy-duty towing specialist, heavy-duty battery boosting may be available. Call us with the vehicle details so we can confirm whether we can safely assist.
Can you unlock heavy-duty trucks?
Yes, heavy-duty truck unlock service may be available depending on the vehicle and situation. We can often help with truck lockouts using proper unlock tools and careful methods. Since every vehicle is different, call us with the truck type and location so we can confirm whether we can help.
Do you provide fuel delivery?
Yes. We provide fuel delivery for drivers who run out of fuel and need roadside assistance. We will ask for your location, vehicle type, and fuel type before confirming the service. Fuel delivery can help you get moving again without needing a tow, as long as there is no other mechanical issue.
Do you provide tire change service?
Yes. We provide tire change roadside assistance when you have a usable spare tire and the vehicle can be serviced safely at the location. If the vehicle is in a dangerous area, on a busy highway, or in a place where a tire change is unsafe, towing may be the better option. We will talk through the situation with you before sending help.
Can you help if your vehicle is stuck in snow?
Yes. We provide snow recovery and winch-out service for vehicles stuck in snow, ditches, soft shoulders, driveways, job sites, and slippery uphill areas. We will ask how deep the vehicle is stuck, what type of vehicle it is, and whether there is safe access for our truck. This helps us plan the recovery properly and avoid unnecessary risk.
Can you help if your vehicle is stuck in mud?
Yes. We provide mud recovery and winch-out service for cars, pickups, trucks, and some job-site equipment. Mud recoveries can vary widely in difficulty depending on depth, ground condition, access, and risk, so pricing may depend on time and complexity. We will ask clear questions before quoting and explain what is needed.
Can you recover rolled-over vehicles?
Yes. We can recover rolled-over cars, vans, pickups, and some medium-duty vehicles when the job fits our equipment and safety requirements. Rollover recovery can involve damage, unstable positioning, fluids, traffic hazards, and safety concerns, so we assess each situation carefully. Our operators use professional recovery methods aimed at avoiding further damage as much as possible.
Can you recover equipment from job sites?
Yes. We provide job-site and construction-site recovery for equipment such as skid steers, bobcats, forklifts, scissor lifts, and similar small or medium-duty equipment stuck in mud, snow, or soft ground. We will ask about the equipment type, weight, site access, ground conditions, and how stuck it is before confirming the job. This helps us bring the right approach and give a fair quote.
Do you haul equipment?
Yes. We provide equipment hauling for small and medium-duty equipment and non-oversize loads. This can include skid steers, farm tractors, loaders, small forklifts, forklifts up to 10,000 lbs, ATVs, golf carts, quads, and similar items. Call with the equipment size, weight, pickup location, drop-off location, and access details so we can confirm whether it fits our deck and towing capacity.
Do you haul sea containers?
Yes. We can haul sea containers up to 20 feet when the job is within our equipment scope and the access is suitable. Sea container hauling depends on the container size, weight, loading conditions, pickup location, delivery location, and ground access. We will review the details by phone before confirming the service.
Do you haul forklifts?
Yes. We can haul small forklifts and forklifts up to 10,000 lbs when the job fits our equipment and loading requirements. Forklift hauling requires proper weight details, safe access, and a suitable pickup and drop-off area. Call us with the model, estimated weight, and locations so we can confirm the best option.
Do you haul light loads and materials?
Yes. We can haul light loads such as lumber, pipes, rebar, skids, and similar items that fit safely on a 20-foot deck. We also handle some small and medium-duty non-oversize loads, sheds, shacks, and structures such as cattle shelters around 8 feet wide and 20 feet long when the job is suitable. We do not advertise oversize-load hauling, so we will be honest if your load is outside our scope.
Can you unload cars from flat deck trailers?
Yes. We can help unload cars or pickup trucks from large flat deck trailers or car hauler trucks using our rollback flatbed tow truck. This service can be useful for dealerships, transport companies, shops, farms, and private customers who need a vehicle safely taken off a trailer. Call with the vehicle details and trailer access before booking.
Do you remove scrap cars for free?
Yes, we may provide free removal of scrap vehicles to the scrap yard depending on the vehicle, condition, location, and access. Proof of ownership is required. If the vehicle is too far away, difficult to access, missing important parts, or not suitable for free removal, we will explain the options clearly before accepting the job.
Do you pay cash for scrap cars?
We may pay cash for scrap cars or scrap trucks if the vehicle is still in decent shape and the job makes sense based on condition, location, and current value. Not every scrap vehicle qualifies for cash payment. Call us with the year, make, model, condition, location, ownership status, and whether keys are available so we can review it properly.
Do you remove scrap vehicles without keys?
Yes, keys are not always required for scrap car removal or scrap truck removal. The important requirement is proof of ownership, along with safe access to the vehicle. The way we handle the removal may depend on whether the vehicle rolls, steers, shifts, or is blocked in.
Can you tow vehicles for mechanic shops?
Yes. We work with individual customers, mechanic shops, dealerships, and businesses that need towing, transport, recovery, or scheduled vehicle movement. We can tow vehicles to and from repair shops, body shops, customer homes, impound lots, and other destinations. If your shop needs repeat towing support, call us to discuss the type of work you need.
Can you help dealerships with vehicle transport?
Yes. We can help dealerships with vehicle towing, local transport, long-distance towing, vehicle unloading, and movement of cars, pickups, vans, and other vehicles within our equipment scope. We understand that dealership work often requires professional communication, careful handling, and reliable timing. Call us to discuss the job details and scheduling needs.
Can you help fleet vehicles?
Yes. We can assist fleets with towing, roadside assistance, recovery, and scheduled vehicle transport for light-duty and medium-duty vehicles. We can help with breakdowns, dead batteries, lockouts, accident towing, and movement between yards, shops, or customer locations. For ongoing fleet support, call us so we can understand your vehicle types and service needs.
Can you book a tow in advance?
Yes. We accept booked towing, transport, recovery, and hauling jobs in advance. No fixed advance notice is required, but availability depends on how busy we are at the time you call. If we are available, some scheduled jobs may even be handled right away.
What information should you have ready when calling?
When you call, we will usually ask what happened, what type of vehicle or equipment you have, whether there is damage, where it is located, where it needs to go, whether the keys are available, and how soon you need service. A dropped pin is very helpful because it gives our driver a more accurate location. Clear information helps us quote properly and send the right towing option.
Why do you ask so many questions before quoting?
We ask questions because towing and recovery jobs are not all the same. A simple local tow is different from a stuck vehicle, accident recovery, broken suspension tow, impound lot tow-out, or equipment haul. By understanding the situation before we arrive, we can give a more accurate quote, avoid delays, bring the right equipment, and reduce surprises for you.
Will your price change after arrival?
If the situation was explained truthfully and accurately during the call, we do not change the price without reason. A quote may need to be reviewed if the actual job is different from what was described, such as more damage, unsafe access, a deeper recovery, a different vehicle type, or a longer destination. Our goal is honest pricing, clear communication, and no unnecessary surprises.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept debit, e-transfer, credit, and cash. Payment is usually preferred upfront or before the job is completed, but in some cases it may be taken when the job is done. We will explain payment expectations clearly before service.
Do you work with insurance for accident towing?
Yes, we may be able to help with insurance-related accident towing. If you have full insurance, we may be able to charge the insurance company directly in some cases. In other cases, you may pay first and receive a proper receipt for reimbursement. Because every claim and policy is different, we will explain the options during the call.
Do you give receipts for insurance reimbursement?
Yes. We can provide a proper receipt when you need documentation for insurance reimbursement after an accident tow or related service. Keep in mind that reimbursement depends on your insurance coverage and claim approval. We can help with the towing side, but your insurer decides what is covered.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Tow Pros Towing & Recovery LTD is licensed and fully insured. We are a family-owned towing, roadside assistance, recovery, and hauling business operated by trained operators. Our focus is professional communication, careful handling, honest pricing, and reliable service for customers who need help quickly.
Are your operators trained?
Yes. Our operators are trained and experienced in towing, roadside assistance, recovery, and vehicle handling. We use professional tools, proper loading methods, and recovery techniques designed to reduce the risk of further damage as much as possible. Every job is handled with attention to safety, vehicle condition, and customer communication.
Are customer visits allowed at your address?
Yes, customer visits may be allowed by appointment only. Our business address is 240046A Highway 24, Wheatland County, Alberta T1P 0W9, Canada, but towing and roadside assistance are usually handled by phone and dispatch. Please call before visiting so we can confirm availability and the best way to help.
Are you open 24/7?
We are available 5am–9pm daily, with after-hours service by availability. We do not claim a firm 24/7 promise because after-hours help depends on driver availability, location, job type, weather, and safety. We try our best to help after hours when possible, especially when someone is stranded or in a difficult situation.
What happens if you cannot handle the job?
If a job is outside our current equipment scope or cannot be handled safely, we will be honest with you. We do not want to take on work that requires true heavy-duty towing, oversize-load hauling, or equipment beyond our setup. In difficult or unsafe situations, we may help you find another trusted towing contact or guide you toward a safer option.
What makes Tow Pros different?
We focus on honest ETA communication, honest pricing, careful handling, and professional service. We do not make fake arrival-time promises just to win the call. We ask the right questions, explain the situation clearly, use proper tools, and treat each customer with respect. Our goal is to help you solve the problem safely, affordably, and without unnecessary stress.
Why should you choose Tow Pros?
You should choose Tow Pros Towing & Recovery LTD if you want a family-owned, licensed, fully insured towing company that gives clear answers before sending a truck.
